As Secretary to the Northern Region of the British Charollais Sheep Society I would highly recommend the use of the Rendevous Hotel at Skipton for holding regular meetings. Not only do they provide an excellent meeting room at very reasonable cost, but it is next to a bar, food is available, and the hotel offers the use of a swimming pool, fully equipped gymnasium with plasma screens, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, not that we have had the energy to use all that, but the thought occurs that you could bring the family along for a bit of luxury and fun while the meeting was being held. Skipton is fairly central for the northern region so keeps everyone happy about location. The staff are very courteous, professional and helpful. This is by far the best venue we have found for meetings and I would be very happy to recommend it to other sheep societies.
