The Rendezvous Hotel is just a short bus ride or drive from the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Malham Cove, the picturesque villages of Appletreewick and Grassington are all close to Skipton and are well worth a visit. Most Dale’s villages are the perfect starting point for a stunning walk in the National Park and it’s usually possible to end your walk with a drink in one of the cosy pubs dotted around the area! If you’re feeling like a challenge you could even consider the legendary Yorkshire Three-Peaks walk! If you fancy exploring a little further afield, Harrogate is well worth a visit. With its elegant parades of shops, beautiful parks and delightful cafes, Harrogate is ideal for a relaxing day trip. The famous Royal Horticultural Society gardens at Harlow Carr, just ten minutes’ drive from the centre of Harrogate, are a must for keen gardeners. Fountains Abbey, set in acres of beautiful parkland, is particularly stunning during the spring when the grass is carpeted with daffodils and wild primroses. A short drive from Ripon (also well worth a visit for its interesting shops and historic cathedral), a visit to Fountains Abbey is a must. Don’t forget to explore Skipton! The town centre is within easy walking distance of the Rendezvous; the town’s interesting side streets, independent shops and cafes are a shopper’s paradise. A bustling market is held several times a week. You won’t fail to miss the impressive sight of Skipton Castle at the top of the high street. At over 900 years old, Skipton Castle continues to be an impressive centrepiece to the town and is a fantastic place to explore. We’re very proud of the facilities we offer at the Rendezvous; our Leisure Club includes a private lounge, swimming pool, steam room, sauna and whirlpool spa.
