Book a Cycle Trip
The Yorkshire Dales are prime mountain biking country. There are over 1,600 km of bridleways, byways and green lanes to explore, all in remote, unspoilt countryside. The Dales are famous for their fast stone based bridleways and limestone plateaus. Gems include Mastilles Lane (between Kilnsey and Malham) and Fremington Edge in Swaledale.
Many trails have a great sense of history as well as being great fun to ride. A mixture of Roman roads, monastic highways, mining tracks and drovers roads, it is partly the variety which makes biking around Yorkshire so much fun and so interesting.
For more information about routes, please visit Yorkshire Dales National Park
On your return to the hotel you do not have to worry about cleaning as we do provide a bike cleaning area as well as washing/drying facilities for you and your clothing.
After the success of Grand Depart 2014 cycling became one of the main ways to discover the county – travelling larger distances and absorbing more of the landscapes and surroundings. Whether you live close by or are on a visit to sample the famous great Yorkshire outdoors, getting on a bike is a safe and swift way of exploring. After such exertion you can be fully justified in stopping for a slab of cake or a pint of locally brewed beer at any one of the many fine cafés or village pubs.
Yorkshire is a great place to learn how to cycle and offers quieter routes for children so they can cycle in safety whilst being surrounded by birds and trees. These out of the way routes range from forest trails, to disused railways and canal towpaths. Our reception can offer you a selection of maps for any level of fitness.
Don’t want to bring your bikes with you, why not hire a bike via us.

Tour de France 2014
Cast your mind back to 2014 when the Tour de France wound it’s way through this beautiful part of the world. Beautiful weather and some fantastic cycling scenery!
The weather might not be quite as good at the moment (we’re writing this in October) but the cycling territory around here is still second to none!
I really enjoyed the experience and have been singing its praises since I got back. I felt well and truly looked after both by the staff at the Rendezvous and by CyCols. As much as I enjoyed the days cycling and the massage from Fiona when I got back I think I may have struggled with 2 days back to back. I must say, despite the hills that were thrown up in front of me it was one of the most enjoyable days cycling I’ve ever had. Having the safety blanket of CyCols around me on unfamiliar roads and knowing that I was staying somewhere welcoming with great food when I finished were a real comfort. You might see me again one day as I’m now thinking about day 2 of Le Tour!
We’ll make sure you get a copy of our article when we’re done.
“Karen and Malcolm Weaving are personal friends of mine and I think they’ve put together a great package at their excellent hotel. They know what cyclists need to make sure they are well fed and well rested when taking on these beautiful and iconic routes, and I am sure they will give everyone a warm welcome to Yorkshire”.
