Rendezvous sponsored appeal target is reached!
A Rendezvous Hotel sponsored campaign has helped to raise well over the £100,000 target in aid of the Airedale Hosplital’s new state-of-the-art Emergency Department.
The facilities the money raised has helped pay for includes distraction walls, an interactive floor in the children’s waiting area and resources to help dementia patients.
It’s great that funds have also bought potentially-lifesaving equipment, including cardiac monitors for general assessment areas.
Karen Weaving, owner of the Rendezvous Hotel said: “We were delighted to be able to be involved in sponsoring such a great appeal. The staff at the emergency department do a wonderful job, and we take our hats off to them, as well as to all the other people and organisations involved in raising these much needed funds”.
The new £6 million Emergency Department – which includes separate adult and children’s waiting areas and a quiet room for use by friends and families – opened its doors in December, but an official opening will take place at a celebratory event on May 12.
